THE WINDS OF CHANGE ARE BLOWING

Another month has come and gone and as we enter June, we continue to wait patiently for news on reopening. As challenging as this time has been on us and many others, we are optimistic that things continue to look better every week as we move closer to fully opening our doors again. According to the province’s recent re-opening plan, training at Pursuit will resume in Phase 3. However, we cannot nail down an exact time just yet but should know more in the near future based on Phase 1 commencing. That will be the first domino to fall.

This third lockdown hasn’t been like the others. It’s been another very important reflection period in my life as a small business owner. Now don’t get me wrong, it's not like I wasn’t reflecting over the previous closure, but this time it's different. Where can I devote my energy in making a positive change so that when we come out the other side, things not only change for me but for the members and clients at Pursuit? We want your experience to be better, your results to be better and most of all be proud of the place you come to on a regular basis. We know in order to accomplish this that some things need to be changed. Some will be small, some will be rather large! The past few months have been another lesson in humility as we continue to develop our facility. I am proud of the progress we have made so far and am extremely excited to share some of the changes we have happening at Pursuit.

Most importantly we are excited and fortunate to formally announce that Dr. Marcus Gatto will be joining Pursuit on a full time basis as the Clinical Director of Pursuit Therapy. If you know Marcus like we do he would prefer to be called ‘Team Principal’ of Pursuit Therapy as his love for Formula 1 racing has reached new heights. He can be seen around the facility wearing his favourite ‘team kit’ and will not shy away from persuading you to watch ‘F1: Drive to Survive’ on Netflix. But on a more serious note, we are very excited to work alongside Dr. Gatto in blending our Pursuit Therapy services with our training programs to give you a proactive approach to your health and wellness. You will hear from Dr. Gatto next week and his thoughts on joining Pursuit in a more dominant role.

In the meantime, we hope everyone continues to be well and are looking forward to training again at Pursuit as much as we are. Stay tuned as we start to tease some of the changes we have been working on, and update you on some outdoor training opportunities as Phase 1 is announced.

Just a reminder to follow along on Instagram as we begin to unveil more content and updates as we learn more.

If anybody wants to keep creating they have to be about change”
